Description:

BY UNPOPULAR DEMAND - NOW ON PUBLIC HOLIDAY MONDAY!

It's a public holiday, and the middle of school holidays. Minimum cars on the road - why that's the best day to strike out on a route that makes the most of our multilane road network: the Eight Bridges Loop!

Starting at 7:30am from the Ampol on the Cnr of Turramurra Ave, we roll straight down the highway to the Epping Rd junction. We use Epping Rd to Centennial to Burns Bay, and then the fun really begins as we cross Fig Tree, Tarban Creek, Gladesville, Iron Cove, Anzac, Pyrmont and Harbour Bridges in a big loop (or a ball sack, depending on how you loop at the Strava Map). Finally we briefly stretch ourselves past Cammeray to do one more bridge - North Bridge - and that's your 8 done.

I propose from there we might roll to the Incinerator Cafe at Willoughby for over priced B&E rolls, unless Limpet has a better idea, which he might. People can then choose a commute route back to the north, or a "Minnsie". As per my test loop above, it's about 50km if you ride all the way back or about 35km if you take the Artarmon exit.  It's all on road and 'take the lane' (except for Anzac and SHB of course) but it's a lot of fun when the roads are quiet, and no doubt more so with a decent group.
