Description:

What better way to enjoy the long weekend and have the next day to recover.......

Introducing the Greater Sydney Bike Trail which will take in some of Sydney's finest areas and avoids roads and traffic!

Officially starting in the Rocks, we travel south and head for Centenial Park then along the southern beaches to La Perouse.

Then we head for the airport then to Cronulla before heading west towards Menai, Milperra and beautiful downtown Prestons as we join the M7 cycleway all the way and find our way to Parramatta and eventually back to Lane Cove River Park.

Although this route is 222kms, we may round it off at the 200km mark and not go back to the city (in fact I can pretty much guarrantee it!)

Dining and coffee pleasures will be ensured as well as plenty of opportunity for you to press the "escape" button on your bike and exit, if you find that you have had enough, via many metallic transport platforms designed specifcially to provide you with a sufficient dosage of the latest strain of the disease that we all love and cherish, our friend, Covid.

According to the website, there is only one rule...

Go around four markers:

  1. Centennial Park
  2. Woronora bridge
  3. Lizard Log in Western Sydney Parklands
  4. Lachlan’s Line Bridge at North Ryde (yeah, right, we might give this one a miss)

Meet 6:00am at the corner of Park Ave and Pacific Highway Gordon to travel into the city via Pacific Highway. Come on kick start YOUR new year resolution of riding at least 10,000kms this year with a bang.
