It's not just Christmas that happens once a year, but also the longest commute, a week before our longest day, because Wilson's shutting up shop early for Xmas. However I may offer another of these on December 23rd, if there is interest.
4.15am at Hornsby pool Wilson assures me is time enough to catch the 7am ferry (70km, 1000m climbing) so need to average 26km/hr non-stop, and more if mechanicals/water/comfort breaks. Then we MIGHT just make it into the CBD by 9am after the additional 40km down Pittwater, but probably best to not have any critical meetings before 10.30 or 11am in case we only get the 8am ferry (it's only hourly) or have flats.
Forecast is good after today's storms, and even a tailie to the ferry. 4 nights' notice to get your beauty sleep accumulated before Friday's early alarm...
